Speed Darlington, a controversial Nigerian rapper, has made a claim that bearded men are rarely wealthy. He asserts that beards are commonly associated with poverty, pointing out that billionaires and presidents of powerful nations are typically clean-shaven.
During a recent Instagram live session with his fans, the artist, known for his song “Akpi,” expressed his opinion on the matter. He stated, “Bearded men are not usually wealthy. They are not among the list of millionaires and billionaires. Take a look around. Show me a president with a beard.”
Speed Darlington went on to argue that globally, facial hair is often associated with poverty. He urged his audience to observe that no dollar billionaire or African billionaire is known to have facial hair. He mentioned prominent figures like Femi Otedola and Aliko Dangote, who are clean-shaven. Additionally, he pointed out that powerful presidents, particularly those with formidable armies, tend to be without facial hair.
Speed Darlington believes that there is no correlation between wealth and facial hair, asserting that money and beards have no connection.
