Nigerian singer Adebayo Adeleke, widely known as B-Red, recently made a statement on the Echoo Room podcast hosted by Quincy Jonze, claiming that he was the one who advised his cousin, Davido, to pursue a career in music.
According to B-Red, he recognized Davido’s exceptional talent and encouraged him to start singing. He expressed his admiration for Davido’s skills and mentioned that they initially focused on promoting their cousin, M-Pizzy, as an artist. However, B-Red eventually urged Davido to explore his own musical abilities, which led him to embark on his singing career. B-Red also gave credit to M-Pizzy for being instrumental in guiding them along the way.
Additionally, B-Red shared an interesting anecdote about their past endeavors. He recounted how he and Davido managed to sell 20 televisions from their father’s house. Furthermore, he mentioned that both he and his brother, Sina Rambo, worked as personal assistants to Don Jazzy and D’banj during the Mo’Hits era.
