Makhosazane Twala, popularly known as Khosi and the winner of Big Brother Titans Season 1 reality show, recently shared a personal experience that solidified her belief in the existence of God. During an interview with media personality Hero Daniels, she discussed the challenging period her family went through after her parents’ separation.
Khosi revealed that her mother had to leave her father and work in another city due to his addiction to drinking and smoking, which caused significant turmoil in their lives. She described this as the “worst time” she had ever experienced.
Her father’s business collapsed, and he lost all six of his cars after being influenced by negative companions. As a result, Khosi and her siblings had to move in with their grandparents when their mother relocated.
Living with her grandparents, Khosi learned the power of prayer and developed a belief in God. She recounted a particular incident that strongly affirmed her faith. As a young child, around the age of 3 or 4, she vividly remembered an evening when her grandfather was speaking to her mother on the phone.
Khosi’s mother was supposed to visit them that weekend but encountered transportation difficulties on her way back from work. She was stranded in a remote area late at night. Concerned for her mother’s safety, Khosi asked her grandmother what was wrong. Her grandmother explained the situation, and Khosi began to question how God could help in that moment.
Her grandfather reassured her that prayer was the solution and explained how God works. In a desperate state, Khosi wholeheartedly embraced his words as gospel. She prayed fervently, despite her young age, and to her astonishment, the next thing she heard was that her mother had arrived home safely.
This incident left a profound impact on Khosi, solidifying her belief in the power of prayer and the existence of God. She marveled at how her prayers as a three-year-old had seemingly contributed to her mother’s safe return, reinforcing her faith in the divine.
