Gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey responded to a video that appeared to show an MC using his name to trick attendees at an event.
When the MC in the video on Nathaniel Bassey’s Instagram page claimed that the singer had been brought in to perform at the event, the audience was initially given cause for optimism.
Everyone got to their feet, expecting the gospel singer to arrive, not realizing it was a hoax. The DJ began spinning a Nathaniel Bassey song, which threw the audience for a further loop.
But after informing the crowd that Nathaniel Bassey wasn’t really among them, the MC crushed their expectations.
He asked why they were all expecting Nathaniel Bassey when they didn’t pay him for an appearance. Nathaniel Bassey humorously responded to the video, calling the stunt an expensive joke.
