Dozens of unmarried women wearing wedding gowns made a surprising entrance at the Eko Hotel and Suites during the Hallelujah Challenge event led by Pastor Nathaniel Bassey.
The event was themed “Dress like your miracle,” which inspired various attendees to participate in different unique ways. It wasn’t just single women; students donned graduation gowns, and women seeking to conceive brought along fake baby bumps or baby dolls as a symbol of their faith in God’s intervention. The Hallelujah festival occurred from 6 p.m. on October 22, 2023, lasting until midnight.
Pastor Nathaniel Bassey initiated the Hallelujah Challenge in 2017 as a praise and worship movement, initially on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
The event typically commenced at midnight, drawing thousands of believers from across Nigeria and worldwide who joined online to collectively express their devotion and engage in prayer, using the hashtag #HallelujahChallenge.

After its successful launch in 2017, the movement evolved into an annual festival, often accompanied by remarkable testimonies from participants.
