Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tacha, has criticized Nigerian marketers for hoarding fuel and emphasized that President Bola Tinubu is not the sole problem of Nigeria, but rather Nigerians themselves.
Tacha made this statement in response to the recent increase in fuel prices following the president’s announcement of the removal of fuel subsidies. She shared a video showing long queues of vehicles waiting to buy fuel, while noting that some gas stations had raised their prices to N500.
She expressed her frustration by saying, “In less than 24 hours, the president did not say he had removed the subsidy. He only made the announcement that he will, not that there is no fuel, but these people are the ones hiding it to make things difficult for their fellow Nigerians. Since 6 am, people have been trying to buy fuel. Let nobody deceive you, we have no love for ourselves. It’s only an opportunity to use to exploit another person. And you have the audacity to complain that Buhari is the problem or Tinubu is the problem. Even if they bring Jesus to lead us, Nigerians will still make things difficult.”
Tacha’s comments reflect her frustration with the fuel scarcity and the actions of certain marketers who exploit the situation for personal gain. She believes that blaming politicians alone is not the solution, as Nigerians themselves contribute to the challenges faced by the country.
