Philkeys, a renowned music producer also known as Philip Ahaiwe Chukwuja, has shared a story of how he once rejected an offer from Kizz Daniel to pay him N50,000 for a studio session. At the time, Kizz Daniel was still an emerging artist, but Philkeys declined the offer because he was already working with the legendary musician, King Sunny Ade.
In a recent interview with MTV Base Africa, Philkeys revealed that Kizz Daniel reached out to him before he became signed to a record label. Kizz Daniel expressed his desire to collaborate and offered to pay N50,000 for the session. However, Philkeys turned down the offer, explaining that his charges had surpassed that amount due to his work with King Sunny Ade. Philkeys anticipated a callback from Kizz Daniel but didn’t receive one, so he assumed the opportunity had passed.
However, after Kizz Daniel achieved stardom, he reached out to Philkeys again, expressing his interest in working together. This time, Philkeys and Kizz Daniel collaborated on several songs.
