The actor, who has frequently been a target of online abuse and verbal attacks, has taken to his Instagram page to reveal his approach to dealing with these trolls and critics.
Yul Edochie, Nollywood actor, suggested that when someone directs insults at you, you should respond with the phrase “dia fada,” which can be loosely translated as “go insult your own father.” This advice comes from his personal experience in handling negativity on social media.
In a post he shared on his Instagram, Yul Edochie criticized fellow celebrities who hastily delete negative comments due to the fear of facing further trolling or insults. He encouraged them to develop resilience and respond assertively to their critics without compromising their own thoughts and emotions.
He emphasized that individuals are not obligated to seek approval from everyone and are entitled to hold their opinions, provided they avoid being disrespectful. If they receive negative comments from trolls, he suggested that they should not shy away, but instead respond with even more comments of their own.
