Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, found himself in a dilemma when asked to decide between two Nigerian football legends, Kanu Nwankwo and Austin Jay Jay Okocha, during a chat with football icons on CBS Sports after his performance at the Champions League final kickoff show.
Arsenal and France legend Thierry Henry posed the question to Burna Boy, asking him to choose between Kanu and Okocha. Burna Boy hesitated, expressing his reluctance to make such a decision. He described it as treacherous and treasonous, suggesting that it could have severe consequences.
Despite his initial resistance, Burna Boy eventually whispered his choice to Henry after persistent prodding. Former England international Micah Richards claimed to have heard Okocha, but Henry refused to disclose the answer, stating that he would respect Burna Boy’s decision.
When Micah Richards asked Burna Boy directly about his choice, the singer replied that he didn’t even know whom he had picked, further adding to the mystery surrounding his decision.
