Early Life
On May 19, 1997, Buju (BNXN) was born into the mixed family of Mr. and Mrs. He has Akwa Ibom and Yoruba ancestry.
His mother is from the South West and his father is from the South-South. His parents named him Daniel Benson.
Born in Lagos State, he spent a portion of his formative years there before relocating to adjacent Ogun State. During his time in Ogun, he lived in the town of Mowe.
The fact that his parents are Christians explains the origin of his first name. He was raised as a Christian and regularly attended church.
Living in Lagos has had two effects on Buju (BNXN).
The first was that he picked up the Yoruba language considerably faster, as it was one of the most widely spoken languages in the city.

The duo cooperated on Lenu (Remix), which established Buju (BNXN) as one of the industry’s most promising performers.
After that, he signed a record deal with Burna Boy’s Spaceship Collective.
After his contract expired in April 2021, he left the label and formed his own music label.
