Ike Onyema, a contestant from Big Brother Naija season 8, recently shared his perspective that Natacha Akide, also known as ‘Tacha,’ could have emerged as the winner of the “Pepper Dem” edition if she hadn’t been disqualified.
As a quick recap, Tacha was disqualified during the “Pepper Dem” season after a heated physical altercation with Mercy Eke, who ultimately went on to win the 2019 edition.
During a conversation with his fellow “All Stars” housemates, Pere and CeeC, Ike expressed his belief that Tacha had a strong chance of winning if she had not faced disqualification.
“Tacha would have won [‘Pepper Dem’] if not for disqualification,” Ike remarked.
Cee-C chimed in, offering her perspective, saying, “She was not supposed to win. Mercy would have won, regardless. She was the choice of the street.”
Ike added, “That one [Mercy] didn’t get disqualified despite her many, many offences. Don’t worry, this life!”
This exchange among the housemates reflects their thoughts on how the outcome of the “Pepper Dem” season could have been different if Tacha had remained in the competition without being disqualified, and how Mercy’s eventual victory was influenced by her popularity and support from the viewers.
