Ifu Ennada, a reality TV personality, recently opened up about her experiences dealing with online trolls and negative messages from her social media followers.
During a conversation with socialite Pretty Mike at MTV Base Africa’s Sparks, Ifu Ennada shared her perspective on the kind of messages she receives in her inbox. She playfully suggested that her direct messages (DMs) could serve as material for a YouTube channel or a TV show, considering the bizarre and sometimes offensive content she encounters.
She revealed that trolls have targeted her with hurtful comments, including labeling her as transgender, gay, and even suggesting that she appears like a man in a woman’s body. Ifu Ennada firmly stated that she is unequivocally a woman, as evident from her appearance.
Beyond the trolls, she also disclosed that she has received unsolicited explicit content from men in her DMs, showcasing the inappropriate behavior and advances she deals with on social media.
In her own words: “I feel like my DM should have a YouTube channel or a TV show. Because I have gotten the weirdest DMs. Let’s even start from the trolls. I have had people call me transgender. Some even said I’m a man that looks like a woman, I’m homosexual. They’ve called me all that. I’m all woman as you can see. Aside from that, I have also had like crazy men come to my DMs and just send me their private businesses [private parts].”
Her candid revelations shed light on the challenges and negativity that individuals, particularly those in the public eye, can face in the realm of social media.
