Renowned Nigerian singer-songwriter Chike has expressed his preference to avoid having “baby mamas,” although he acknowledges that he will accept his fate if it were to happen.
Chike shared this perspective during an interview with The Cable Lifestyle, where he was asked about the trend of celebrities becoming mothers before marriage.
The hitmaker of “Nakupenda” clarified that while he doesn’t aspire to have multiple baby mamas like some of his colleagues, he doesn’t hold any negative sentiments towards musicians who have multiple relationships with men.
Chike stated, “I do not have anything against it; it was not an intentional thing for most people. So yes, you never know. You know when a man and a woman enter a room and turn off the light, you know what will happen. I would say it happens; I mean, if you are having sxx, there is a chance that there will be a product of that sexual relationship, right?”
He acknowledged that the perception of having baby mamas has shifted over the years, and it’s no longer considered as taboo as it once was. Chike emphasized that while his goal is to avoid such situations, if it were to occur, he would accept it as it comes.
In regard to how he has managed to steer clear of scandals, Chike noted, “I do not know, but what I always tell people is that anything can be scandalous… it just depends on the people involved and how hotheaded they are. So, maybe I have just been lucky to find a middle ground where nobody blows things out of proportion.”
