Chike Ose-buka, the former reality TV star turned Afro-soul artist, recently opened up about his mental well-being and his unique perspective on expressing love.
In an interview with TheCable, Chike delved into how he has managed to stay clear of scandals since his breakthrough in the music industry five years ago.
The gifted singer attributed his clean track record in terms of scandals to his skill in finding a balanced approach and effectively handling issues that arise in his career.
Chike stressed that any situation has the potential to escalate into a scandal, but the outcome largely hinges on the individuals involved and their adeptness in resolving problems.
Throughout the conversation, Chike clarified his stance on not vocalizing love to women.
He underscored his belief that actions hold more weight than words and characterized himself as someone who expresses love through his deeds.
Chike conveyed his conviction that a man’s primary role is to be a provider, highlighting how actions that manifest love carry greater significance than mere verbal affirmations.
In his own words:
“I’ve never actually said ‘I love you.’ I suppose, for me, that level of vulnerability is daunting. It’s like if I were to say it, my confidence might waver and possibly vanish. I’m content that I’m able to sing about it though 😌. I think there might have been a misunderstanding, but love can be conveyed through various languages: there’s provision, there’s presence, and I strive to achieve a perfect score, like 100 percent.”
“The foremost responsibility of any significant other is to provide. Uttering ‘I love you’ without tangible financial support or contribution, I think it might pose a challenge. You know, they say love is sweeter when money is involved.”
Chike’s perspective offers a distinctive outlook on the dynamics of love and expression, shedding light on his personal philosophy and approach to relationships.
