The renowned rapper, Afeez Fashola, professionally known as Naira Marley, has initiated legal action against actress Iyabo Ojo, seeking a staggering N500 million in damages and a public apology from her.
In a letter dispatched to Iyabo, Naira Marley, represented by Olalekan Ojo (SAN) & Co., alleges that the actress’s Instagram account disseminated false and harmful content.
The letter specifically refers to an Instagram post made in September 2023, the month in which the late musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, passed away.
In this post, Iyabo Ojo purportedly accused Naira Marley of engaging in spiritual and physical dealings with Mohbad and of subjecting him to mental torture.
Naira Marley’s legal representative asserts the gravity of these allegations and demands a substantial compensation of N500 million along with a public apology from the actress.

His lawyer requested that, within seven days of receiving the letter, the actress post an apology on her official Instagram account and in a national daily.
Furthermore, should Iyabo Ojo fail to comply, they threatened to file a lawsuit and seek N500 million in damages from the actress.
