Portable Opens Up About Headies Disqualification, Says He Has No Regrets

Nigerian singer Habeeb, Okikiola also known as Portable, who was disqualified from the 15th Edition of The Headies Award and withdrawn from all nomination reacts to the disqualification saying he has no remorse over reckless statements and contents he made.

Portable was nominated in two categories—Rookie of the Year and Best Street Hop, unfortunately, he was disqualified and withdrawn by the Headies organizers, because of his claims, threats, unwanted press and police attention.


The musician was seen in a video in reaction the disqualification, praising himself while cuddling up to his partner.

“I do music for a living, it’s what gives me pride. I go by the name Portable Omolalomi. I thank God for my life. I got talent, I got God, I got money, I got fame, I got destiny, I got wife, I got children, you don’t know? God bless my family, I got motor, I got house, you don’t know? I’m blessed.” He said, in a mixture of English and Yoruba.
