Johnny Drille, a popular Nigerian singer, has clarified that his relationship with fast-rising actress Tomi Ojo is purely platonic, denying rumors of a romantic involvement between them. Speculation about their relationship arose after Ojo portrayed Drille’s love interest in the music video for his song “Believe Me.”
In a recent interview with Hip TV, Drille emphasized that he and Ojo are “just friends.” He made this clarification amidst the revelation of his secret marriage to Rima Tahini, the Director of A&R at Mavin Records.
Drille further explained that the presence of two Ojos in the music video—Wale Ojo and Tomi Ojo—created a play on words, but it should not be misconstrued as an indication of a romantic connection. He expressed admiration for Tomi Ojo, describing her as an amazing person to work with and a fantastic addition to the music video.
Johnny Drille emphasized that his relationship with Tomi Ojo is strictly professional and that he holds her in high regard for her contributions to the music video.
