Yomi Fabiyi, a well-known Nigerian actor and activist, has criticized popular afrobeat musician Davido over allegations of cheating.
In recent events, Davido has faced substantial online criticism after being accused by two foreign-based women, Anita Brown and Ivanna Bay, of impregnating them and pressuring them to have abortions.
Responding to the pregnancy scandal on Tuesday, Yomi Fabiyi took to Instagram to express his disappointment, recalling how Davido had previously criticized him during the rape case involving his colleague, Baba Ijesha, and a 14-year-old girl in 2021.
Fabiyi stated, “It is unacceptable and disappointing to witness an individual like @davido, who wields a significant influence over teenagers and youths, repeatedly encouraging and enabling vulnerable young women to have abortions. You were once in the position of those babies whose mothers you paid to terminate their lives for your selfish interests. I thought you cared deeply about children when you posted my picture and captioned it ‘BITCH ON SIGHT,’ and in another instance, you called me ‘MUMU’ for protesting for the human rights of a defendant. I was advocating for justice for the victim.”
He further expressed his disillusionment, stating that Davido’s true character differs from the public perception of him and added, “What a shame. God will continue to expose your true nature for subjecting me to undeserved treatment. Make peace with those women and treat them right. Those babies have the right to live.”
