The wife of the late Nigerian singer MohBad has shared a heart-wrenching revelation about the cause of his death. She disclosed that MohBad had been battling unhappiness and fears, constantly facing threats from people who sought to harm him.
His happiness had waned, and he remained anxious even after the birth of their child. As a devoted family man, he constantly worried about their safety and urged his wife to leave for the sake of their child.
She revealed his struggles with continuous confrontations and the negative labels that were unjustly placed upon him.
Tragically, MohBad passed away, leaving behind a grieving widow and a poignant plea for peace.
She wrote: “Nothing made him happy anymore, even after seeing his baby, he became more worried. He’s now a family man, and he didn’t want anything to happen to us. He often said to me, ‘Wunmi, please go for my baby’s sake. I wouldn’t want these people to harm you and him. It would break me. You just go; let me face them myself. Ilerioluwa, rest in peace. You really need that peace.'”
His wife further expressed her sorrow, stating that those who had caused him pain had won, leaving her a widow at just 24 years old.
In her words: “This man struggled until his death, enduring too much pain and threats. He lived in constant fear and faced fights wherever he went. He was unjustly labeled a junkie, a mad person, and someone with mental issues, all to shape public opinion about him. He’s gone now, at least you all have won; take your trophy. You’ve made me a widow at 24 years old. May God judge you.”
