Biography
Ali Nuhu Mohammed, a Nigerian actor, director, producer, scriptwriter, and choreographer, was born on March 15, 1974. He has worked in the industry for many years.
He is one of the few Nollywood and Hausa Cinema actors in Nigeria who can convincingly portray a variety of roles. The majority of his fans are Hausa, who call him Sarki, or King of Kannywood. Forever, Ali Nuhu will hold the distinction of being the first Nigerian actor to work in both Northern Hollywood and Southern Nollywood. He is regarded as the peacemaker who brought the two fields together.
During the course of his career, he has been in more than 500 movies and won many awards and honors.

Early Life And Education
On March 15, 1974, in Maiduguri, the capital city of Borno State in Northeast Nigeria, a young man named Ali Nuhu Mohammed was born.
Nuhu Poloma is his father’s name, and he is from the Gombe state capital of Damaturu, at a place named Balanga.
He had been the head of the PDP in Gombe State before he left politics.
After living to the ripe old age of 78, the warrior passed away in June of 2020. His mother, Fatima Karderam Digema, however, is a native of the Bama LGA in Borno State. Previously, she had worked as a school principal and teacher. Sadly, she passed away in 1999 after a brief illness.
He was predeceased by his younger brother Ibrahim B. Nuhu on June 11, 2013 in Jos, Plateau State, from complications of tuberculosis infection. His sister’s name is Amina Digema.
His family moved to Jos, the capital of the plateau state, not long after his birth.
He spent part of his childhood there before the family permanently settled in Kano, the ancient city in Kano State, Northwest Nigeria.
Ali Nuhu Education
Between the years of 1979 and 1985, Ali Nuhu attended the Riga Special Primary School. Between 1986 and 1988, he attended Government Secondary Commercial School, Kano, where he earned both the West African Examination Council (WAEC) certificate and the Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE).
From 1992 to 1997, he studied at the University of Jos in Plateau State, Nigeria, earning a bachelor’s degree in geography.
Also, in 1998, he joined the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Ibadan, Oyo State, Southwestern Nigeria. As part of the program, he was able to go to school and learn more.
A few years later, he went to the well-known University of Southern California to take a course in film production and cinematic arts.
Ali Nuhu went to the Asian School of Media Studies in New Delhi, India, to learn about film.In 2018, he was given an honorary doctorate by the ISM Adonai American University in the Benin Republic.

Ali Nuhu’s debut film role was in the Hausa movie Abin Sirri Ne, released in 1999. His breakthrough role in Sangaya, one of the most popular Hausa movies ever, made him a star.
While Ali Nuhu’s best performance was in Satinda, he also had notable roles in films like Azel, Jarumin, and Maza. In 2007, he won the African Movie Award (AFRIMA) for best actor in a supporting role. Ali Nuhu had been an actor for more than 500 films and had been working in the profession for over two decades by 2019.
