Early Life And Education
Bimbo Oshin entered the world on July 24, 1971, in Ondo City, Ondo State. She was the seventh of Pa Olasanmi Theophilus Oshin’s eight children, so she grew up in a big household. Bimbo’s parents took great care of her, so even as a little child she looked refined.
Education
Bimbo Oshin attended St. Ann’s Primary School in Oke Agunla, Ondo State, for her elementary education before transferring to and graduating from the Staff School in Ile-Ife. She had excellent grades and moved to the vibrant city of Lagos.
In Lagos she went to Girls Academy in Sandgrouse on Lagos Island to finish her secondary education and get her SSCE.
Bimbo got her BA in Philosophy from the University of Lagos, Akoka, where she also did her undergraduate work.
Career
In the performing world, Bimbo Oshin has made quite a name for herself. Razak Ajao, Yinka Quadri, and Taiwo Hassan helped guide Bimbo. She met all three of them through the theater group Ara Osan Theatre Group, which she joined when she was in high school.Bimbo’s debut film, Akobi, was released the next year, in 1997.
The award-winning actress was in “Oh Father! Oh Daughter!” (2001) by Wale Adenuga’s Super Story TV series, along with Sola Sobowale, Bukky Wright, Antar Laniyan, and many others. Bimbo Oshin released a Yoruba film titled Eji Owuro two years later.
In 2012, she co-starred with Fausat Balogun, Lanre Hassan, Toyin Abraham, and others in the Yoruba film Omo Elemosho. Her clothing line, Dashing by Bimbo Oshin, came out a few years ago, and she will be in the movie Kakanfo, which comes out in 2020.
