
During a meeting with the newly inaugurated members of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Governor Dauda Lawal called for unity and collaboration among the lawmakers for the betterment of the state, regardless of their political differences.
The Governor congratulated the 24 lawmakers on their election and emphasized the significant responsibility they have in addressing the various challenges faced by Zamfara State, including insecurity and educational decay. Governor Lawal expressed his administration’s commitment to working harmoniously with the State legislature and urged the lawmakers to maintain a constructive partnership with the Executive arm of government.
Bilyaminu Ibrahim Moriki was unanimously elected as the Speaker of the Seventh Assembly and assured that they would provide maximum support and cooperation to the Executive for the state’s progress.
The Governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, stated that Governor Lawal received the leadership of the Seventh Assembly to foster familiarity and strengthen their working relationship.
