On Friday, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State announced the reappointment of Colonel Bisiriyu Olayinka Olayanju (retired) as the Oyo State Commandant of Western Nigeria Security Network, also known as Amotekun. The governor also approved the reassignment of Ms Tara Adefope as the Director General of the Oyo State Bureau of Public Procurement. Additionally, Engineer Mufutau Open Salawu was appointed as the Executive Assistant for Project Monitoring.
The appointments were communicated through a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Segun Ogunwuyi. The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, released a statement confirming that the appointments would take immediate effect. The governor congratulated the newly appointed individuals and encouraged them to view their appointments as a call to serve.
