Nollywood actor and comedian, Ayodeji Makun, popularly known as AY, has declared that he is no longer making efforts to reconcile with his long-time industry rival, Basketmouth.
The beef between the two comedians has been ongoing for 17 years, stemming from a dispute over an alleged unpaid N30,000 debt owed to AY by Basketmouth. However, Basketmouth denied any friendship or debt issues, further complicating the situation.
In a recent interview with Teju Babyface, AY admitted that he had been attempting to mend their relationship over the years. He sought reconciliation, but it seems his efforts were in vain. Despite senior colleagues in the comedy industry advising him to step back and not force the reconciliation, AY persisted, hoping for a resolution.
However, he has now decided to let go of his efforts and accept that their friendship may never be mended. AY expressed that he is no longer pushing for a reconciliation and is content with the idea that he might go to his grave without ever resolving the feud. The strained relationship between the two comedians seems to have reached a point of no return.
