Nigerian singer Naira Marley has denied claims that he signed DJ Splash to his record label, Marlian Music, amidst the controversies and allegations surrounding the death of his former signee, Mohbad.
Some concerned fans had raised concerns and allegations after Mohbad’s death, suggesting that DJ Splash, who was purportedly associated with Marlian Music, experienced mental health issues after taking substances provided by the Marlian team.

Naira Marley refuted these claims, stating that DJ Splash was not at his house when he began facing mental health challenges. He dismissed the allegations as “lies” and clarified that DJ Splash was never officially signed to Marlian Music. Naira Marley explained that while he knew DJ Splash as a DJ, he had never performed with him at shows or had him as his official DJ.
In an interview with Reno Omokiri, Naira Marley emphasized that the title of “DJ” was given to DJ Splash without an official signing or working relationship. He expressed confusion over the source of the allegations and denied any responsibility for DJ Splash’s mental health issues, asserting that DJ Splash was not at his house when those problems arose.
