Kanayo O. Kanayo, a veteran Nollywood actor, has called on Nigerians to reconsider their habit of sticking to three square meals a day. In a post on his Instagram page, he advised people to break away from the British-influenced tradition of three meals, stating that it holds no inherent benefits, especially in the context of individuals striving for health and fitness.
Kanayo suggested that it is possible to eat more than three times a day, but in smaller portions. To support his point, he cited prominent Nigerian billionaires such as Tony Elumelu, Aliko Dangote, and Femi Otedola, who do not adhere to the British concept of three square meals.
He expressed his belief that there is nothing advantageous about consuming heavily during morning, afternoon, and night, as the three square meals dictate. Instead, he encouraged people to reject this notion and adopt a healthier approach by eating smaller portions of food more frequently throughout the day.
Kanayo emphasized that individuals can maintain good health by unlearning the habit of three square meals and opting for a more flexible and balanced eating routine, as exemplified by successful individuals like Dangote, Otedola, and Elumelu, who manage their meals in small increments.
