Sound Sultan passed away on July 11, 2021, after a courageous battle with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma, a rare form of cancer.
Farida posted a video on Instagram showcasing Sound Sultan in his element, smiling, singing, and dancing, which he loved to do. She accompanied the video with a touching caption, choosing to celebrate his life and honor his legacy. Farida fondly referred to him as “Omo Iseyin,” emphasizing his love for his culture. She also mentioned their children, Zara, Mayowa, and Bidemi Fasasi, expressing how they still talk about their father as if he were still present.
Farida acknowledged the support of Sound Sultan’s siblings, who strive to fill the void left by his absence in their lives. She highlighted the singer’s impact on people and the music industry, stating that his legacy continues to speak for itself.
