The owner of the company, Elon Musk, recently revealed plans to start paying creators a share of Twitter’s ad revenue. Responding to this news, Nigerian music star Davido took to his official Twitter page to inquire about his own share of the money from Elon Musk.
In a playful manner, Davido wrote, “Where dem Dey put the money? @elonmusk.”
Davido’s tweet follows a recent incident where an angry Nigerian man accused the singer of being broke and only providing financial assistance to women. The man, identified as Muller, expressed frustration over spending money on data during the campaign of Davido’s uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, without receiving anything in return.
In the video, the man claimed that Davido lives off his father’s wealth and that the valuables, including cars and jewelry, seen with the singer actually belong to “yahoo boys” (internet fraudsters).
Davido’s playful tweet about Elon Musk’s revenue-sharing plans adds a lighthearted touch to the ongoing discussions about his financial status and philanthropic activities.
