In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, veteran Nollywood actress Ini Edo opened up about why she doesn’t allow herself to be overwhelmed by criticism. According to her, most critics don’t genuinely care and are simply interested in indulging in judgmental behavior for the sake of amusement.
Ini Edo emphasized the importance of living one’s life for oneself and not allowing others to dictate how one should live. She expressed that individuals cannot judge their own lives while simultaneously judging the lives of others. In her view, people’s opinions hold little significance in the grand scheme of things, as they tend to move on after indulging in their momentary criticism.
The actress also shared her decision to publicly announce the birth of her daughter through surrogacy, explaining that she wanted to take control of her own narrative rather than allowing someone else to define her story.
Offering advice to her fans, Ini Edo encouraged them not to limit themselves based on the fear of public opinion, reminding them that their own self-worth and fulfillment should take precedence over the judgments of others.
