Adesua Etomi-Wellington, a popular Nollywood actress, has opened up about her initial reaction when her husband, Bankole Wellington, also known as Banky W, expressed his desire to enter the political arena. Banky W announced his political aspirations on November 11, 2018, vying for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat under the Modern Democratic Party.
However, he faced defeat in the elections both in 2019 and in the 2023 elections. During a recent interview with Hip TV, Adesua shared that she felt concerned and uneasy when Banky W first disclosed his intention to venture into partisan politics. However, she ultimately decided to support him because she believes that purpose is more significant than fear. Adesua expressed her unwavering 100 percent support for her husband’s pursuit of his purpose in politics.
