Charly Boy, also known as Charles Oputa, a well-known singer and activist, has expressed his disappointment regarding the adjournment of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) due to the absence of a witness from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The PEPC, led by Justice Haruna Tsammani, postponed the hearing of INEC’s defense against the petition filed by the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, until the following day.
Charly Boy took to Twitter to criticize Professor Mahmood Yakubu, the National Chairman of INEC, who oversaw the presidential election, for causing distress to Nigerians. He questioned whether INEC would ever present an authentic copy of the election result and expressed doubts about INEC’s readiness to defend their own case.
In his tweet, he called for divine intervention in dealing with Yakubu and the hardships he believes he is causing.
