The State House of Assembly has publicly released the list of 25 nominees for the Osun executive cabinet. The Speaker of the House, Adewale Egbedun, read out the list during the plenary session on Friday, July 7, 2023. The list, submitted by Governor Ademola Adeleke, includes individuals such as Bar. Oladosu Babatunde, Bayo Ogungbamgbe, Sesan Ephraim Oyedele, Bar. Kolap Alimi, Soji Ajeigbe, Moshood Olalekan Olagunju, George Alabi, Sunday Olufemi Oroniyi, Abiodun Bankole Ojo, Dr Bashir Tokunbo Salami, Moruf Ayofe, Sola Ogungbile, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, Ayo Awolowo, Barr. Woke Bada, Dipo Eluwole, Rasheed Aderibigbe, Prof. Moruf Ademola Adeleke, Adeyemo Festus Ademola, Olaniyi Anthony Odunlade, Bar. Jola Akintola, Mayowa Adejorin, Adenike Folasade Adeleke, Tola Faseru, and Gani Ayobami Olaoluwa.
Egbedun directed the nominees to prepare 35 copies of their credentials to be submitted to the screening committee by Tuesday, July 11, 2023. The screening process will take place on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at 10 am. The nominees are also required to provide a list of their assets to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and provide evidence of the same on the day of the screening.
The House of Assembly screening committee, chaired by Akinyode Oyewusi, consists of members such as Kofoworola Adewumi representing Ede North State Constituency, Kanmi Ajibola representing Oriade State Constituency, Elisha Akinyemi Oderinwale representing Ayedire State Constituency, Olaide Ajibola representing Olorunda State Constituency, Sanmi Areoye representing Atakunmosa East/West State Constituency, and Sikiru Bajepade representing Ila State Constituency.
