In a statement released on Friday in Abuja, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced the appointment of Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, as the Chief of Staff (COS).
Additionally, Tinubu appointed Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, a former Deputy Governor of Jigawa State, as the Deputy Chief of Staff. During a meeting with the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), the President also named George Akume, the former Governor of Benue State and immediate past Minister of Special Duties, as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
The appointments were confirmed in a statement by Abiodun Oladunjoye, the Director of Information, on Friday.
