Mr. Romanus Ejikeme, the father of Mmesoma, who is currently embroiled in a controversy over allegations of forging her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result, has shared his reaction to the situation.
Following allegations by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) that Mmesoma manipulated her UTME score of 362, she released a viral video denying the allegations. However, JAMB released a statement on Tuesday banning her from taking the exam for the next three years, maintaining that she indeed forged the result.
Speaking on the matter, Romanus expressed disbelief in the allegation and stated that his daughter could not have inflated her UTME score as claimed by JAMB. He further alleged that the move was an attempt to obstruct the N3 million scholarship awarded to her by the Innoson company.
According to Romanus, “Mmesoma cannot manipulate her UTME score. I don’t believe what they are saying. They just want to transfer that scholarship to another person. That is why they are saying that Mmesoma did not make that score. It is even her friends that saw her score on the internet and started calling her before she went and printed it out. We have the print-out with us now.”
Mr. Romanus Ejikeme’s remarks highlight his disbelief in the accusations against his daughter and his determination to defend her innocence, suggesting that there may be underlying motives behind the allegations.
