Nigerian chef Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci, has officially been certified by Guinness World Records for breaking the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
Last month, Hilda Baci cooked continuously for 100 hours, surpassing the previous record set by India’s Lata Tondon of 87 hours and 45 minutes.
After thorough review of the footage, Guinness World Records announced on Tuesday that Hilda Baci is now the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual. They tweeted, “After reviewing all the footage, we’re delighted to announce that Hilda Baci is the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon (individual).
