Charly Boy, a renowned Nigerian entertainer and socio-political activist, has joined the conversation surrounding the controversy regarding the UTME score of Anambra schoolgirl Mmesoma Ejikeme.
Mmesoma initially claimed to have scored 362, the highest in the 2023 UTME examination, but was later accused by JAMB of forging her result. In a viral video, Mmesoma expressed surprise that the result she printed from the JAMB portal was being labeled as fake without a proper investigation.
She vehemently denied the allegation, stating that she is incapable of manipulating her own result. Charly Boy took to Twitter to share his skepticism about JAMB’s claim and called on the board to make Mmesoma’s examination papers available for external remarking by a credible body.
He emphasized the need for transparency and suggested that JAMB’s handling of the situation has inadvertently made Mmesoma popular while also shedding light on corruption and incompetence within the organization, similar to the issues faced by INEC (Independent National Electoral Commission).
