Lotanna Ojukwu, the younger brother of the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, former Biafra Head of State, has called on President Bola Tinubu to condemn what he described as unpatriotic statements made by MC Oluomo and the Speaker of the Lagos House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa.
Ojukwu urged Tinubu to publicly denounce these statements, even if the individuals involved are members of his party.
He made these remarks during an interview on Arise Television’s Morning Show program on Friday. Ojukwu was addressing questions related to security challenges in the Southeast region and advocating for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
He stated, “I would like to see President Tinubu’s government come out and firmly declare that certain acts by MC Oluomo or certain pronouncements by the Speaker of the Lagos House of Assembly are unpatriotic and violate the laws of the Federation of Nigeria. Tinubu should make this statement even if these individuals are members of his own party.”
“As the current President of this country, he must publicly declare that such acts should no longer be tolerated,” Ojukwu emphasized.
